David is currently a safety consultant with a specialization in General Contractor safety and multi-employer worksites. David oversees safety efforts on a multitude of construction projects, ranging from $1 Million - $80 Million. David graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a double minor in both Occupational Health and Safety and Psychology. David’s primary role at Safety Resources, Inc. is to review jobsites from an OSHA Compliance standpoint with an emphasis on training and behavioral safety and cultural improvements. Utilizing his kinesiology background, David focuses on preventative safety with regards to ergonomics and worker fatigue.
David is knowledgeable in general site/facility consultation, employee and management training and site safety representation. He is responsible for delivering company safety training presentations, developing and implementing company policies and procedures, managing workers’ compensation claims, and performing project audits, to name a few. David is a certified Instructor of Adult Mental Health First Aid. He has completed OSHA 30 Hour Course for Construction, Adult/Infant First-Aid/CPR/AED training, is a Qualified Rigger and Signalperson.
David is an active member of the Central Indiana Chapter of American Society of Safety Professionals (CI-ASSP) and is a Board Member as the CI-ASSP Student Liaison, bringing together student sections from Indiana University, Indiana State University and Purdue University. He is also active with the Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS) as well as the Indiana Subcontractor Association (ISA).
In his spare time, David enjoys stage lighting for various music events, as well as spending time outdoors as much as possible. David enjoys traveling and is often known around the office as the guy who is ready to go with his bags packed at all times. David’s true passion is to make a difference in the lives of others, and in addition to his career endeavors, he also volunteers with the New Hope Foundation, providing assistance to homeless families. He is outgoing, friendly and driven, which provides a natural willingness to get involved wherever there’s a need.
