The purpose of the Safety Resources, Inc. Subcontractor Management Program is to define and manage responsibility from a controlling employer (General Contractor or Construction Manager) standpoint. Our program offers consulting services to achieve continual improvement for a variety of subcontracted trades to increase safety and health performance. This program establishes a standard for pre-qualification, evaluation/selection of subcontractors and to ensure the controlling employer is managing onsite safety in a manner that promotes OSHA compliance as well as fosters onsite relationships so that all parties involved can achieve a success.

Our unique capabilities rest upon the collective experience of our safety professionals who have represented construction companies working in various trades and contractual roles.

Safety Resources, Inc.’s Subcontractor Management Program consists of several elements, that together, contribute to your multi-employer jobsite and company’s documented procedures, safety audits, employee training and implementation.

Elements of the Safety Resources, Inc. Subcontractor Management Program include:

  • Liability management through ongoing safety oversight

  • Development of site specific safety rules and subcontractor orientation documentation

    • Establish safety protocol for a variety of subcontractor trades
    • Establish progressive disciplinary action and documentation if necessary
    • Ensure safety coordination is planned and mutually agreeable for all parties
       
  • Ongoing site safety audits and oversight

    • Identify company risk and liability exposures
    • Avoid potential OSHA and other regulatory violations
    • Determine potential injury hazards
    • Prepare for owner and insurance audits
    • Reveal safety program and training requirements
    • Improve onsite safety buy in and encourage feedback from personnel
       
  • Safety consulting expertise for any accident investigations resulting in property damages or personal injury

    • Identify and locate the principal source of the accident (root cause)
    • Identifying causal factors and select corrective actions
    • Determine direct/ indirect cost(s) of the accident
    • Implement strategies for controlling and/or eliminating future accidents
       
  • OSHA compliance assistance

    • Participate in OSHA walkthroughs on client’s behalf
    • Manage opening and closing conferences
    • Manage abatement forms and reporting
    • Manage any necessary informal conferences or contest of citations
