Annex – Hot Springs:  The majority of construction is pre-planning and staging.  Before operations go vertical, it is always a useful time to set the tone in regard to:

Material handling and housekeeping:  Ensure debris and materials are removed from working and walking areas.  Materials for future operations should be stored in a designated area that allows safe passage for all other trades onsite, and these materials should be stacked and stored in a manner to prevent tipping and shifting.

Personal protective equipment:  Focus should be on high-visibility clothing and hard hats must be worn when near heavy machinery.  As a General Contractor, you can set the tone on how strict personal protective equipment guidelines are.

After meeting the minimum requirements, it is standard to ask if the next step is feasible and if so, the start of a project is the ideal time to implement things.
