ISI – IU Regional Health Center: When performing operations involving personal fall protection measures, some situations require the transferring of connection points. When this situation presents itself, it is important to remember the proper process. The correct way to transfer connection points is:
- To remain connected to the original connection point and attach the new connection point.
- Once you are connected to both, remove the original connect point.
- Work is able to be performed while utilizing the new connect point.
The key is to remain connected at all times, so the potential for a fall is minimized.
