Jake began his career with Safety Resources, Inc. in 2022 first as a Safety Consultant, and continued up the ladder to Operations Manager.  

Jake is currently a safety consultant with a specialization in General Contractor safety, Subcontractor safety, and multi-employer worksites.  Jake oversees safety efforts on a multitude of construction projects.  Jake’s primary role at Safety Resources, Inc. is to review jobsites from an OSHA Compliance standpoint with an emphasis on training and behavioral safety and cultural improvements. Utilizing the experience gained throughout his career, Jake focuses on preventative safety with regards to electrical hazards, equipment and machinery, and strong communication skills.  Jake is a valuable asset to his clients as OSHA Informal Conference defense representation, as well.

Jake has specific expertise regarding NFPA 70E, electrical safety, heavy machinery, and industrial construction. He is responsible for delivering company safety training presentations, developing and implementing company policies and procedures, managing workers’ compensation claims, and performing project audits, to name a few.  Jake holds an OSHA 10-hour, 30-hour, 510 Construction, and 511 General Industry certifications.  He is also a certified First Aid, CPR, AED, and bloodborne pathogens instructor, and is also the primary Quality Control expert for construction projects within the firm.  Jake is also a certified Construction Safety and Health Technician (CHST) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

Jake is an active member the Central Indiana American Society of Safety Professionals (CI-ASSP). He utilizes these events to gain insight to assist in his daily site/facility consultation, employee and management training and site safety representation.  He has recently completed the Indiana Subcontractors’ Association’s first “Launch into Leadership” course as part of an ongoing career track focus with the firm.  Jake is a natural leader who motivates his peers with his positive attitude and admirable work ethic.  His training sessions are informative, organized, and entertaining, and he isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves to work hands-on with clients, coworkers, and/or colleagues.

Jake enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.  He never turns down the opportunity to join a competition, especially when it involves hunting, fishing, or any sport.  His local men’s softball league team wears their Safety Resources, Inc. jerseys with pride!
